The Love Story
For Jackie and Jason, it was love at first sight. When Jacky was working at a natural food store in Capitol Hill, Jason came in regularly on the weekends for some relaxing time away from his summer job. Although it's obvious that these avid bikers lead a healthy lifestyle, we're quite sure that Jason's regular visits to the natural food store were about more than sticking to an organic diet. “Months later, we ran into each other at a cafe, and the rest is history,” the happy couple shares with us.
The Proposal
For the first three years of their relationship, Jacky and Jason took annual bike trips to Orcas Island. On Jason's birthday in January of 2014, they decided to revisit that old tradition … nine years after they first started dating. After a ride to the top of Mount Constitution, Jacky was ready for a snack at a picnic table. However, Jason insisted on climbing to the top of a watchtower to enjoy the view on the beautiful, sunny day. At the top, he turned to his love and proposed. Of course, Jacky said yes, living the moment she had always dreamed about.
The Ring
As a tangible token of their shared passion for biking, Jacky wears a titanium band made by a high-end custom bike part builder in Georgia.
