It was an October day to remember as close family and friends headed to see Kurt and Shannon tie the knot. The destination was the couple’s favorite city — Portland, Oregon; where the two allowed nature to set the scene with its serenity.
After embracing a moment alone by having a first look together at Hoyt Arboretum, they posed for photos with Lindsay King Photography as sunlight beamed through the trees. From there it was off to the ceremony, with wooden signs greeting all and standing in place of paper programs.
Guests sat in carefully placed bistro chairs beneath the sequoia trees of Mt. Tabor Summit as the two shared their vows. Through the giggles and smiles, the two became official as they sealed their love with a kiss.
The charm of the outdoors was then brought inside for a reception at Union/Pine. Wood tables lined with greenery and candlelight along with a semi-naked cake fit the forest vibe, while a taco bar and ping pong added a modern playfulness.
If there’s anything to take away from Kurt and Shannon’s celebration, it’s how their wedding day reflected who they are and represented their personalities so well; exactly how a wedding should be.
