Fall 2025 Wedding Dress Trends from New York Bridal Fashion Week

Brittny Drye Founder + Editor-in-Chief of Love Inc. Magazine | On-Air Wedding Expert | LGBTQ+ Inclusivity in the Wedding Industry

The latest wedding dress trends straight from the Bridal Fashion Week runways.

Bridal Fashion Week has officially wrapped and we have viewed hundreds of dresses to spot the top bridal fashion trends that will be coming down aisles next year.

And I want to preface this post by saying, while trends can certainly help put a timestamp on the fashion timeline for weddings, it's certainly not meant to dictate your wedding day look. You should always choose something that suits your personal style, and that may or may not fall in-line with what's “trending.” (But if you ask us, personal style is always en vogue!)

Now, back to Bridal Fashion Week and the trends that emerged, which ranged from vintage inspired corsets and basque waistlines to fashion-forward sculpting and more.

CORSETS

Corsets are nothing new to the wedding fashion scene, but the sheer magnitude of which we saw them this season earned this detail a spot on the list. Almost every single collection boasted at least one corset, ranging from exposed boning to more subtle snatching.

UNEXPECTED ASYMMETRY

While we have seen asymmetry present itself via necklines and hemlines, this is really the first time that it's stood out in other ways: pleating, cut outs, and draping.

UNIQUE EMBELLISHMENTS

Designers didn't shy away from the “more is more” mentality, adding decorative embroidery, textural appliques, bows and feathers to level up their looks.

EDITORIAL STRUCTURING

If you want to channel your inner Vogue model, you're in luck because several designers brought forth structural haute couture pieces that scream fashion spread.

MINIMALIST

On the flip side, if you shy away from all the bells and whistles, you'll also have plenty of options that don't sacrifice style. Gorgeous silhouettes and clean lines, minimalist dresses from the likes of Sassi Holford, Arava Polak, Anne Barge and Savage & Hunt promise a timeless look.

ANTIQUE TONES

Instead of one standout color this season, we saw designers lean into vintage tones, incorporating dusty hues that translate beautifully to bridal.

BASQUE WAISTLINES

We began to see basque waistlines rise in popularity last season, and for fall, it only gained steam, with some designers like Pnina Tornai even upping the drama with Marie Antoinette waistlines.
