Emily and Rukiya’s Animated Arboretum Engagement Shoot

Emily and Rukiya were first introduced by mutual friends when they attended the same party. Sparks flew and a connection formed, and three years later, they got engaged in their own unique way. They didn’t need a ring or someone to get down on one knee for a surprise proposal; for Emily and Rukiya, the choice to spend the rest of their lives together came as a mutual decision after several thoughtful conversations.

Jane R Photography followed Emily and Rukiya through a beautifully lush arboretum, where the glowing couple held hands and laughed in one of their most cherished places to spend time together. “The arboretum is one of our favorite nearby green spaces,” the soonlyweds say. “It has gorgeous old trees, cute bridges, and it feels like you’re in the country even though you’re in the middle of the city.” We love the way their joy shines through the photographs, showcasing a genuine connection that will withstand forever.
