When done right, weddings filled with color can be incredibly timeless. In case you need proof, allow us to show off David and Edward’s wedding.
“Edward and David’s colorful, vibrant celebration at the Glidden House in Cleveland, Ohio was an evening to remember!” says their photographer, Marissa Decker of Marissa Decker Photography.
Every part of the day was equally filled with cheer and elegance – starting with the incredible stationery suite. Edward designed the invitations himself, of which included nods toward his hometown in Rio Grande Valley, Texas where orange and grapefruit trees grow. This orange, pink, and sage color palette continued into their outdoor ceremony.
“Walked down the aisle by their mothers, these two said their vows under a perfect and glorious flower arch.” recalls Marissa. “Hand-in-hand wearing shades of blue and green, they exchanged vows. Afterwards, they enjoyed cocktail hour with their guests who all sported colorful attire as requested.”
“During cocktail hour they mingled with their guests under twinkle lights in a brick courtyard and danced all evening to a mixture of Latino and classic wedding music.”
The celebration then continued into the reception where their wedding cake (described as a “modern work of art”) complemented the decor with its pretty pigments. The room was vivacious in not only color, but the fun energy on the dance floor, too!
