Beautiful Portraits from a Wintry Upstate New York Elopement

Three years after meeting in rehab, the Florida couple was visiting Brenna's family in upstate New York when they got engaged. A month later, they were exchanging self-written vows in front of 30 of their nearest and dearest in the same town.

“The most memorable moment for sure was seeing our families crying. For me it was everything I could have hoped for. We beat a lot of odds, leaving rehab together, staying sober, fighting everyone saying we couldn’t be together, all the drama of people judging us, hiding it from people, and Ivonna moving to a different country and making it work, so seeing her family and my family so happy that they cried made every obstacle we faced worth it. To know that they are supporting us, truly happy for the love we have for one another, to know they trust me to care for their daughter for life. That to me was the biggest and best moment.”
