Cédric and Maxime met while doing a hospitality internship at the luxury Chateau Montebello in Quebec. “Cédric presented himself and I thought he was pretty cute and completely fell in love with his accent,” says Maxime. After four years of dating, the couple was hosting a barbecue for friends and family at their home, everyone except Cédric tuned into the real reason for the celebration.
“After everyone had finished eating, I pulled Cedric to the middle and asked for everyone’s attention. I told him how much I had loved him and how much I loved him even more. I got down on one knee and asked him to be my best friend and my partner for the rest of our lives. He obviously made a couple jokes because he has a good sense of humor but he jumped of joy saying ‘Yes!‘”
Mikkel Paige Photography captured the couple while they were in Colmar, France, just a few months before they actually got engaged. The couple strolled through the fairytale-like village, hand-in-hand. “I knew from the moment I met him that he would be very special to me. His likes and dislikes as well as mine just went well together. We have been through so much together and keep getting stronger each day,” says Maxime. “We aren’t just a couple, we have becomes best friends along the way.”
