The Love Story
The beginning of David and Jaime's happily ever after started when they both swiped right. Jaime had nearly reached her wits' end and was ready to ditch Tinder altogether when she got a message from David. “We talked over the phone for two weeks and knew it was something special before we'd even met,” Jaime says. Knowing Jaime had recently gotten a puppy, David asked Jaime and her pup to join them for a picnic in the park for their first date, and as Jaime says, the rest was history!
The Proposal
It was the day of the summer solstice when David decided to propose to Jaime. “I wanted it to be a surprise, of course,” he says. “So I connected with a great photographer and planned a sunset proposal at The Scout statue in Kansas City.” After a delicious dinner at Jaime's favorite sushi restaurant, they took a romantic walk around Penn Valley Park. Once they arrived at the statue, they paused to take in the gorgeous view of Kansas City's downtown skyline before David dropped to one knee. Jaime was so caught off guard that she started laughing before she realized that David was proposing. And then she, of course, said yes!
The Ring
“My ring is perfect! Dave did a fabulous job picking it — thanks, Toner Jewelers!,” Jaime says. “It is a 1.41 carat round diamond set in a halo with a split shank band.”
