New York Bridal Fashion Week Spring 2019

The Trends We’re Loving from Spring 2019 Bridal Fashion Week Runways

As Spring 2019 wedding dress collections debuted on the runways of New York Bridal Fashion Week, we hope you were following along with us on Instagram as we dashed from one end of Manhattan to the other. We swooned over all the stunning silhouettes and intricate designs that filled the runways this season, but among all the pretty details, there were five trends that stood out to us the most. We saw striking statement veils, detailed deep v-necklines and eye-catching oversized florals, to name a few, that we can't wait to see more of in Spring 2019!

Oversized Florals

Floral details are a favorite for spring, but for Spring 2019, the florals are going even bigger. Billowy floral appliques, whimsical 3D flowers, pretty floral prints and large floral lace were made to stand out, and they absolutely did on the runway this season. Also spotted at Amsale, Anne Barge, Francesca Miranda, Galia Lahav, Hermione De Paula, Morilee by Madeline Gardner and Reem Acra.

Statement Veils

If there’s any day that calls for statement-making, it’s a wedding day! And our new favorite way to do that is with a veil. On the runways we saw everything from veils embellished with beautiful beading and colorful floral appliques to blush-dyed tulle and intricate embroidery. We especially fell head over heels for Hermione de Paula's sentimental veils that she personalizes with monograms, your first song dance lyrics, love letters from your husband- or wife-to-be and even portraits of your favorite pet! If that isn't a statement, we don't know what is! Also spotted at Claire Pettibone, Hermoine De Paula, Victoria Kyriakides, Willowby by Watters, Wtoo by Watters

Plunging V-Neck Detailing

As V-necklines plunge deeper, we're loving the creative design details that accentuate a daring neckline. For the soonlywed who wants a more conservative look without sacrificing the popular plunge, details such as small bows, delicate lace or intricate beading create a stunning neckline without forcing you to bare it all. Also spotted at Alon Livné, Berta, Claire Pettibone, Hayley Paige, Justin Alexander, Kelly Faetanini, Leanne Marshall, Limor Rosen, Mira Zwillinger, Romona Collection Bridal, Legends Romona Keveza and Theia.

Metallics

Metallic wedding decor is out in force, so it's no surprise that the trend has spread to the dresses. We love the way the light catches dresses in metallic hues, and we loved all the champagne, silver and rose gold designs that floated down the runway. Also spotted at Alexandra Grecco, Galia Lahav, Morilee by Madeline Gardner, Naeem Khan, Peter Langner, and Theia.

Bow Details

Last fall, it was the oversized bow that stole the show. But this season, bows of all shapes and sizes had their moment in the spotlight. From statement shoulder bows to understated bows that beautifully frame the back of a dress or accentuate the waist, the bow is proving that it's here to stay! Also spotted at Alon Livné, Amsale, Galia Lahav, Lee Petra, Legends Romona Keveza, Limor Rosen, Morilee by Madeline Gardner, Peter Langner, Reem Acra and Watters.
