Erica Leman, the founder of Sweet Alice Photography, took snippets and themes from one of her favorite books as a young girl and used C.S. Lewis’ “The Chronicles of Narnia” to inspire the design of this styled shoot. “I think the notions of courage offered in this series has deep roots that tug at your soul,” she says. “I think that the choice to love anyone, anytime, anywhere is one of the biggest acts of courage that any person could embark on.”
Elegant greens and shades of gold form a beautiful color palette that mirrors the majestic world of Narnia, a fantasy world in a dense green forest. The tablescape features rustic place settings and vintage elements, but we especially love the display of Lewis’ words from the novel that echo the love between two people. “The Chronicles of Narnia books craft a gorgeous world of things that aren’t seen with the naked eye — bravery and love and acceptance and safety,” Erica says. “And that’s the heart of this shoot.”
