5 Ideas to Steal from Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello’s Wedding Weekend

Brittny Drye Founder + Editor-in-Chief of Love Inc. Magazine | On-Air Wedding Expert | LGBTQ+ Inclusivity in the Wedding Industry

Over the last few days, we've been stalking Sofia Vergara's Instagram because she's been oh-so-kind to share many, many photos from her and Joe Manganiello's wedding weekend at The Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Fla. Planned by the talented Mindy Weiss, the wedding was filled with ideas and inspiration from her chic style to how they celebrated pre-wedding.

Aisle (and Party!) Style

As if she wasn't already one of the most beautiful creatures on the planet, Sofia nailed her bridal style. Her Zuhair Murad dress had a detachable skirt, giving her two totally different looks — one for the ceremony and one for the party. She also swapped out her jewelry to give a little more bling for the reception (we love a good cuff!).

Squad Goals

If you're hosting a wedding weekend, gift your guests with shirts with fun sayings on them to wear to the pre-wedding events. Take it a step further and have them customized with your wedding hashtag or celebrity combined name (great idea, Jofia!).

Dress the Part

Another destination wedding idea, flaunt your bride status the whole weekend, no matter the activity. We're obsessed with Sofia's white beach maxi (check out BHLDN's Harriet Jumpsuit for a similar look!).

Custom Details

How adorable are these custom cocktail napkins from Wedding Paper Divas? The process is incredibly simple (I used them for my wedding day napkins also!) and WPD offers a wide variety of chic designs that you can customize.

Extravagant Aisle

The incredible floral designer Jeff Leatham helped bring Sofia and Joe's wedding vision to life and, while the majority of us can't afford as elaborate of a design as he created for his celebrity clients, we can pull inspiration. Create a similar look with an arch or curtains at the beginning of the aisle for an unexpected (and dramatic!) entrance. Recreate the romantic glow with LED candles (for safety!) and line the aisle with petals instead of full arrangements.
